Each year we welcome students to Nottingham from all around the world. These students make an important contribution to academic and cultural life here. The information from this section will help you see what is on offer, but we can give you more relevant information if you contact our International Office.

Entry requirements

We accept a wide range of overseas qualifications, so please contact us for information and advice on qualification requirements.

University foundation course

If you’re not ready to start one of our higher education courses, we offer university foundation courses specifically designed for international students who are aiming to progress to university-level programmes in the UK.

English language support and technical tutorials

English classes are provided as an integral part of your HE course. These classes are provided to support you in understanding your course, lectures, and essay and project writing. Technical tutorials will also help you to use and understand the technical language related to your specific course.

International Office

Our International team takes a special interest in the needs of overseas students. Specially trained staff are available to support you during your course and answer any questions you may have on subjects such as:

  • your course
  • welfare
  • visa support
  • social activities
  • accommodation
  • international students
