Fashion Illustration — Part-time

Course outline

This short course will introduce you to Fashion Illustration and you will learn a range of techniques to develop your own illustration style.

Topics include:

  • Line Drawing
  • Collage
  • Mixed Media
  • Body Proportions

In Part 1 you will be introduced to drawing fashion figures, looking at body proportions and how to draw clothing.

In Part 2 you will be introduced to adding colour to fashion illustrations and practice using a range of media to create illustrations.

In Part 3 you will be introduced to multi-media illustrations and collaging and learn how to create stylised illustrations.

You will also gain experience in basic drawing skills and how to use a range of media to suit your illustration style. A range of materials will be provided to you throughout these sessions.

We advise enrolling on all three parts to complete the full course. Each part runs across two week blocks.
