Construction

Nottingham College is one of the largest providers of construction training in the Midlands. We have invested significantly in our facilities and you’ll have access to industry-standard workshops and fantastic facilities. In fact, we have been highly recommended by the construction sector body, the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), so you can be confident you will be in a great learning environment.

If you like getting stuck into projects and want to get into a skilled trade, then a construction course at Nottingham College will give you the hands-on training you need. These practical courses include bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating, groundworks, plastering, dry lining, plumbing, multiskills and electrical training.

All our lecturers have had years of experience in industry, so you’ll be learning from the best in the business, in a supportive environment which will set you up for a great career. We have well-established links with construction employers and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to work on real projects. Our students and apprentices were part of the team building Nottingham’s tram system and they are involved in many other building projects around the city.

You will gain valuable work experience with industry partners and may even get the opportunity to take part in one of our well-established international work experience projects. You could even take part in competitions to show off the skills you’ve learned and add to your CV!

We run courses from Entry Level right up to degree-level in some areas so you can progress to the level that suits you and then into industry. Choosing a course with us will ensure you lay the foundations for a successful future in the construction industry.
