Annual Review + Ofsted

New College Nottingham (ncn) was inspected by Ofsted in December 2015 and in the subsequent report inspectors graded the College as 'Good'.  

ncn is now one of the top performing colleges in greater Nottingham with a 'strong emphasis on raising standards'.

Key findings 

Inspectors grade colleges for ‘overall effectiveness’, as well as in a number of key sub areas, with ncn achieving Grade 2 (Good) in all of them. These areas are:

  • Effectiveness of leadership and management
  • Quality of teaching, learning and assessment
  • Personal development, behaviour and welfare
  • Outcomes for learners
  • 16-19 study programmes
  • Adult learning programmes
  • Apprenticeships
