Studying with ncn

New College Nottingham is one of the largest colleges in the region, with more than 20,000 students at any one time.

With more than 30 A Levels, 450 part time courses and well over 100 full time courses for school leavers as well as adults returning to education, ncn has developed a strong track record in delivering courses that  transform lives.

New College Nottingham has produced Oscar winners, Cambridge graduates, actors, musicians, scientists and entrepreneurs. Our courses are designed with the needs of our students and their future employers in mind - that's why at ncn we have an excellent track record in helping our students move on into employment and successful careers when they leave us.

Our students can be:

  • School leavers, i.e. those currently in year 11 but who are considering moving on into A Levels or vocational training such as a BTEC or into an Apprenticeship.
  • Adults over the age of 19 who may want to come back to education to build on their existing qualifications, train for a particular career or gain the qualifications needed to progress onto a degree.
  • A Level graduates who would like to study a Foundation Degree, full degree or other high level qualification such as an HND or HNC.
  • People already in employment but who want additional training either on-the-job, on day release or in the evening/weekend to learn a trade, gain accreditation, gain a promotion or who just fancy learning something new.
  • People from all walks of life who fancy learning a new skill or hobby.
  • Students from abroad who might want to join us on a degree course or visit for the summer to learn English.
  • City and County residents who have no formal qualifications who need help to make those first steps in order to gain confidence, try out new things and ultimately work towards achieving a qualification.
