Accessibility at ncn

ncn tries to make all of its buildings, facilities and resources accessible to all students.

If a student thinks that they may need support whilst in College contact the Learning Support team on 0115 9 100 100 or ask at your reception for further information.

Buildings and facilities

There are a variety of facilities at ncn. Ramps, lifts and induction loops have been installed at all our major campuses, and in addition to physical access, the College can support students with disabilities by providing information in a format that meets your needs. More information on the facilities available can be found on the facilities for disabled students page.

Equality schemes

ncn believes that disability equality is much more than providing physical access to its buildings. The College strives to create an atmosphere where the contributions of all our students are valued and celebrated, and that disabled learners are provided with appropriate support and in no way feel isolated from college life on account of their disability. The following documents detail the schemes and policies in place for student equality.

Facilities for Disabled Students

ncn tries to make all of its buildings and facilities accessible to all students. Ramps, lifts and induction loops have been installed at all our major campuses. In addition to physical access, the College can support students with disabilities by providing information in a format that meets your needs – for example large print, different coloured paper, Braille.

We can provide note takers and learning support assistants to attend class with students and provide them with extra time in their exams or specialist equipment to make sure that they can achieve their goals including pagers for the deaf. If a student thinks that they may need support whilst in College contact Learning Support on 0115 9 100 100 or ask at your reception for further information. You can find out more on the Supporting You page of the website.
