| Entry requirements | All Students need to have a pleasant personality, well-groomed appearance and must:
* Be aged between 16 and 24 years
* Work 16 hours or more each week in a chosen qualification-related area
* Not be on any other training programme
* Not be attending any other college or university
* Not hold a degree
* Have lived in the UK for the past three years
Students must also have one of the following:
* NVQ Level 2
* City & Guilds Basic Hairdressing
* NVQ Level 2 African Caribbean Hairdressing
* Relevant salon experience

| Assessment Method | Practical and theory work are continually assessed throughout the qualification by the tutor at College and the Workplace Assessor, who will visit you at your place of work. You are required to keep a portfolio of evidence generated in the workplace to meet the criteria of requirements set for each individual mandatory and optional unit of the qualification |
