| Content | Students must choose one of the following trades:
* Brickwork
* Carpentry & Joinery
* Electrical
* Gas
* Painting & Decorating
* Plastering
* Plumbing
* Refrigeration
* Wall & Floor Tiling
Theory and practical training will be covered. |
| Timetable | Approximately 2 years based at ncn Basford Hall on a day release, or in some occupations, block release. |
| Assessment Method | The Workplace Tutor continually assesses practical and theory work. An Internal Verifier will visit students to monitor their progress. All students are required to keep a portfolio of evidence generated in the workplace. |
| Progression | Continuing in Education:
* NVQ Level 3 in chosen area.
Careers:
* Technician in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Management or Quantity Surveying Construction
* Professional career in Construction |
| Other Details | Tools and materials, workshop space and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be provided by the College during study.
Students will need to bring stationery, safety footwear and overalls or old clothes. |
