We run Initial Teacher Training courses, ranging from Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector Award (PTLLS) to Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS), as well as Professional Certificates in Teaching Literacy, ESOL and Numeracy, ProfGCE/Certificate in Education and specialist qualifications such as Educational Management, Special Educational Needs and Working with 14-19 Age Range Teaching and Learning Foundation Degrees.
We also offer courses in Advice and Guidance and Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, the direct replacement for the A1 Award, Assessing Vocational Achievement, and Internal Quality Assurance, the direct replacement for the V1 Award.
We offer valuable opportunities on a number of our courses for you to specialise in your area of interest, for example literacy, numeracy, ESOL. Our
subject mentors offer excellent support and a good deal of experience in their individual specialisms to help you make the most of your time here.
Some of your fellow students may already be working in settings such as the armed forces, the police force, schools, colleges, the NHS,
the prison service and entry to employment initiatives. They bring a wealth of experience to the classroom which benefits everyone on our programmes and helps to ensure our courses are addressing current, relevant issues.
