Adams Restaurant & Brasserie
The Adams Restaurant & Brassiere is a full-service restaurant, with Hospitality and Catering students serving contemporary cuisine prepared, cooked and presented to the highest standards.
The Restaurant is open during term time and provides students with the experience of a realistic working environment in a commercial restaurant. The Restaurant and Brasserie offer varied menus, at reasonable prices, including Christmas Dinner, Themed Evenings, and special events such as the Nottinghamshire Young Chef of the Year Competition.
The Restaurant is available for lunch during the week and for dinner on certain weekdays. Bookings may be made in person or by telephoning the Adams Restaurant on 0115 910 4510.
U Choose Food Court
The U Choose Food Court, at ncn Clarendon, operates in partnership with the College's in-house Catering Services Team and the Hospitality and Catering curriculum. All food is prepared and served by Hospitality and Catering students, including hot meals, sandwiches, salads, cakes and desserts, fine coffee, vegetarian options and much more.
U Choose Food Court is a state-of-the-art contemporary learning environment for students, providing high quality food for staff, students and members of the public in a fully refurbished environment.
Demonstration Kitchen
The Demonstration Kitchen has been purpose-built for use by industry partners and students. Fully equipped with industry-standard equipment, it has seating for up to 25 people, including disabled access, and boasts state-of-the-art ICT equipment, allowing filming, recording to DVD and transmission to the 42" plasma-screen televisions in the kitchen.
The demonstration theatre is available for use by industry. Activities could include:
- Industry chefs conducting masterclass demonstrations to students on catering and hospitality programmes.
- Industry chefs using the area to conduct research work on dish design with fellow chefs.
- Training or demonstrations to current/new members of staff on standards and dishes.
Basford Hall Gymnasium
Designed specifically for Public Services courses, the gymnasium at Basford Hall has a range of cardiovascular equipment, including treadmills, step machines and rowing machines, free weights and resistance machines focusing on the lower body. The gym is fully air conditioned and has a reception area in preparation for opening to the general public.
