We offer a wide range of full-time and part-time courses for students interested in studying barbering, beauty therapy or hairdressing, as well as our apprenticeships which allow you to gain qualifications while you work.
Our full-time and part-time Hair Courses and Beauty and Holistic Therapy Courses are based at ncn City (Adams), ncn Clarendon and ncn Hucknall in fully equipped training salons. Each salon operates as a commercial enterprise, taking appointments from members of the public throughout the week.
Our students also regularly compete in regional and national competitions, and are required to undertake work placements in the industry.
Our apprentices are given the opportunity to train off-site in the workplace. This training is supported through ncn, by a workplace tutor/assessor who will visit you regularly.

To support the recruitment of staff in the hair and beauty industries, ncn uses work-based learning, work experience opportunities and the annual school recruitment fair.

27 key employers are engaged in the school recruitment fair, providing the opportunity to interview perspective candidates and conduct trade tests

The school recruitment fair also includes an employer forum, which aims to improve ncn’s responsiveness to employer needs and gives the industry the opportunity to inform ncn of their training needs.
