ncn provides business training solutions from ncn Basford Hall, offering a wide range of full-time and part-time courses at a dedicated training venue or directly in the employer's premises.

Being proactively involved in employer consultation with the workforce sector areas helps shape our curriculum, training offers and future services to meet sector demands.

We support a wide range of Child Health and Social Care employers that have apprentices or advanced apprentices that are being trained through ncn.

 

Our sector areas are:

  • Child Care - Covering the care of children and young people

  • Health Care - Covering the NHS and private healthcare industries

  • Social Care - Covering the social care of adults

  • School Support Services - Covering all support staff working in schools

We have established links with local employers in all sector areas, with opportunities for work placements on many courses.

Training - Our Rationale

  • NVQs and Apprenticeships - Covering health care, child care, and supporting teaching and learning in schools.

  • Short and bespoke courses - Covering inductions, mandatory and specialist training, delivery of courses, consultancy and partnership delivery of NVQs and apprenticeships. Training can be tailor-made to meet organisational needs and requirements.

  • Sector-endorsed Foundation degrees - Currently offered for Early Years Practitioners and Teaching Assistants in schools.


Benefits to Employers

  • Employers are enabled to meet the legislation and regulation requirements of qualified staff and sector quality stategies within the workforce.

  • Employers are able to access training to meet organisation workforce training and development plans for current and future job rob skills and qualifications.

  • ncn provides opportunities to upskill staff in literacy and numeracy whilst engaged in training, supporting the skills pledge initiative employers sign up to.

  • Employees can progress onto higher level courses while still employed, working towards Early Years Professional (EYP) status and Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status.
