We have established close links with industry specialists in catering, hospitality, tourism as well as aviation. This means we can offer our students exclusive opportunities to work with professionals and move into good jobs after their studies.

Our Hospitality and Catering provision has a purpose-built demonstration theatre and state-of-the-art food preparation and patisserie kitchens.

The Faculty enjoys excellent links with local industry including Restaurant Sat Bains, Hart’s, Tom Brown’s, Woodborough Hall, Living Room, Perkins Restaurant & Bar, MemSaab, Yo! Sushi, Farndon Boathouse and Café Bleu. We also have links with a number of high profile hotels including the Hilton, Park Plaza, Jurys Inn and Nottingham University's Catering and Residential Services.

The Adams Restaurant and Brasserie at ncn City (Adams), is open to the public and is serviced by Hospitality and Catering students who plan menus, prepare food, and serve meals and drinks in a commercial environment. Hospitality and Catering students also prepare and serve food at ncn Clarendon's U Choose Food Court, serving staff, students and members of the public a variety of foods.

Travel and Tourism students have access to a range of exciting, interactive resources and presentation equipment to give them essential workplace skills. Students can also benefit from close links with aviation industry specialists like First Choice Holidays, Thomson, Servisair, East Midlands Airport, BMI Baby and Camp America, which may lead to work placements and job interviews.
