Level 2 Electrical Installation
Nicola Cross is studying an Electrical Installation Level 2 qualification at ncn Basford Hall.
“I enjoyed school most of the time,
but mainly to socialise rather than
learn! I went to college after my
GCSEs, then got an admin job, but
I really wasn’t interested in it and
decided to retrain to make a bit more money.
“Before starting this course I was a bit worried about being the only
girl. There are only two of us, but it really doesn’t make any
difference, we all just get on with what we’re there to learn.
“I look forward to coming into college every week. I really enjoy the
practical side; we’re given plenty of time in the workshops to work on
our own, but the tutors are always ready to help if we need them.
“It’s my dream to have my own electrical business one day; hopefully
my course at ncn is going to help me achieve that.”
