Information, Advice and Guidance
Our outreach team of Community Development Workers offer support at every stage to ensure that you choose the right course and are able to succeed. A key aspect of this work is the delivery of information, advice and guidance to learners who are either enrolled on our courses, or who wish to explore the opportunities available to them. This service is offered in partnership with nextstep, and our experienced and qualified staff are Matrix Accredited.
Family Learning
In partnership with Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, ncn offers a range of Family Learning opportunities. This provision aims to improve the literacy, language and numeracy skills of parents/carers and their children.
Courses on offer include:
- Family Literacy and Numeracy Opportunities – For parents/carers and their children who would like to improve their literacy and/or numeracy skills.
- Keeping up with the Children – Introduces parents/carers to how their children are taught Literacy and Mathematics in schools.
- Early Start – Explores ways of playing, talking and listening to children to enhance early language development.
ncn Community Learning Bus
Community groups throughout Nottinghamshire are able to access Information Communication Technology (ICT) provision via the ncn Community Learning Bus, funded by the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.
