There is a well-established route to nursing, midwifery, occupational therapy, speech therapy, teaching, forensic biology, physiotherapy, psychology, social work, youth and community work or more specialist degrees such as social sciences and human services within the Faculty of Childcare, Social and Health Services.
Our suite of rooms includes an IT and interactive centre with access to online resources. Many of our programmes are designed to enable those with children to study within school hours.
Our Access programmes are affiliated to the universities of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent, Derby, Leicester De Montfort and Sheffield Hallam.
As ncn is a well established childcare service provider in the East Midlands, our childcare training is backed by years of valuable experience, and there are lots of work experience opportunities for our students.
There are plenty of practical resources such as interactive dolls, creative toys and games, scientific and medical equipment to make learning fun and enjoyable.
Students on our Public Services courses have a fantastic new gym at ncn Basford Hall, and can take advantage of our close links with leisure facilities and key local employers in Nottingham. ncn also has links with all emergency services in Nottingham, with plenty of opportunities for work placements and interviews at the end of your studies.
Designed specifically for Public Services courses, the gymnasium at Basford Hall has a range of cardiovascular equipment, including treadmills, step machines and rowing machines, free weights and resistance machines focusing on the lower body. The gym is fully air conditioned and has a reception area in preparation for opening to the general public.
