ncn College in the Community offers an extensive choice of learning opportunities to suit a range of needs and abilities. It’s up to you how much time you want to commit; from a one-off taster session to a series of classes over five or six weeks.
Part-time opportunities

Family Learning
In partnership with Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, ncn offers a range of Family Learning opportunities. This provision aims to improve the literacy, language and numeracy skills of parents/carers and their children.
Courses on offer include:
- Family Literacy and Numeracy Opportunities – For parents/carers and their children who would like to improve their literacy and/or numeracy skills.
- Keeping up with the Children – Introduces parents/carers to how their children are taught Literacy and Mathematics in schools.
- Early Start – Explores ways of playing, talking and listening to children to enhance early language development.
