Reduced or remitted fees for Further Education students

A note about funding

You are advised to check with the College for the latest information.

Fee reductions are only available on course fees. For some courses, there are additional costs associated with your studies; for example: registration with an external awarding body, examinations, books, materials, tools.

If you have any questions about funding, please contact the ncn Call Centre on 0115 9 100 100.

You may be entitled to a fee reduction and, in some cases, a free course. If you want to claim a reduction in fees, you must present your current benefit documents, dated within one month of your enrolment date, at the point of enrolling on the course. This is a national requirement from the Government, linked to course funding, because these documents will confirm that you are entitled to claim the discounts available.

Important

In addition to tuition fees, please bear in mind that you may have to pay for some equipment and materials, depending on your chosen course. For example, some courses require a uniform, specialist clothing or equipment. Fee remission does not apply to these items and you may be required to obtain these items for the start of your course. However, you may be eligible for Learner Support Funding to contribute towards the cost of materials or equipment, please note that this will be paid as a reimbursement. Please contact the college for more information.

All learners aged 19 years and over will be required to open a SkillsAccount if they wish to receive Learner Support Funding.
