Questions about funding?

The fees for our part-time courses are clearly identified in our A-Z Guide to Part-time Courses or you can search for courses online. If you have any queries relating to fees please contact ncn Call Centre on 0115 9 100 100.

What you pay for

  • Course Fees

These depend on the length and type of course and include tuition fees, exam fees and registration fees, where applicable. Course fees are payable in full at enrolment or by instalment (conditions apply).

Please note: Where examinations are associated with a particular course, there is an expectation that if you enrol, you will go on to take the exams. Anyone not wishing to do so should seek advice from the College prior to enrolment, in order to determine whether you can be accepted onto your chosen course.

  • Materials Fees

These include any materials fees that you are required to pay in full when you enrol.

  • Additional fees post-enrolment

These are estimated and include fees that are not collected at enrolment; for example some courses require that you pay exam and registration fees direct to award or professional body.

  • Incidental materials costs

Wherever possible, materials costs have already been included in the above fees, but there may be occasions when you need to provide incidental materials, particularly in relation to creative courses and workshops. These are dependent on the work undertaken and could range from photographic film to ingredients for cookery workshops.

Please note: Some courses last more than one year. You are advised to check before enrolling as additional fees are payable in Year 2. You should also be aware that fees policies may change between Year 1 and Year 2.

You also may be eligible for a fee reduction or a free course. Please see Reduced and Remitted Fees for Further Education Students.

Refunds

Refunds can only be given in the following cases:

  • If ncn cancels your course, the refund will be sent to you automatically.
  • If ncn makes significant changes to your course.

Please note: Refunds may incur a £25 administration fee.

  • 25% of the fees must be paid at the time of enrolment by cash, cheque, credit or debit card.
  • A further three payments are due at 30-day intervals.
