The International Office has a dedicated team of staff to support students through their UK experience.
We initially guide students through the admissions process and once you receive your Final Offer letter we provide you with a Pre-arrival Information Pack.
-
On your arrival, we have a registration day for all students, and provide a handbook with lots of relevant information about the city and the College.
-
And while you are here, we can advise you on a number of things, including:
- Accommodation
- Course guidance
- Immigration and visa requirements
- Welfare support
-
All students are assigned a personal tutor, who will meet with you regularly. These meetings provide you with an opportunity to discuss any study difficulties you may be experiencing, and our staff will constantly work with you to help you achieve your career goals.
-
In addition to your studies, you can also take advantage of our afternoon Enrichment Programme. Students can select from a range of activities, including sports, arts, music, and specialist IT courses. You can select an option that lasts for the whole academic year, or change your choice each term.
-
For students who want to get involved in activities outside of College, we also have a Volunteering programme, which provides opportunities for students to undertake voluntary work with an organisation of their choice. We have placements in a wide range of organisations, including hospitals, veterinary clinics, private businesses and many more.

Nottingham is a thriving commercial centre and has many opportunities for part-time employment. Students who sustain a sensible study/work balance benefit enormously from the experience, with employment broadening the students' interactions with local people, providing an understanding of UK working practices, initiating self-confidence, dramatically improving language skills, and, of course, providing extra money.
