University Foundation Courses for International Students at New College Nottingham

We currently offer three University Foundation courses.

These are specifically designed for overseas students, providing a combination of English Language study with your selected course of study. The course helps to prepare the student for study at a Higher Education level, and will give you the qualifications you need to enter university or progress further at ncn.

Course Aims

Your course aims to:

• Provide English Language tuition and preparation for IELTS
• Provide further knowledge in your key subject areas
• Introduce the teaching and learning styles associated with university
• Develop your personal study skills in preparation for Higher Education
• Support your UCAS application

Entry Requirements

• To apply for these courses you must:
• Be 17 years of age or above at the start of the course
• Have successfully completed senior secondary school or equivalent
• Have a minimum English level of IELTS 5.0 (no component less than 4.0) except for Business Fast-Track
