We offer courses to suit most levels and have a team of caring, helpful and professionally qualified teachers. You will find our course prices competitive and all of our courses are accredited by the British Council, which is your guarantee of quality. General English courses

The General English programme will help you to improve your grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking and listening. Your teachers will be professionally qualified and highly motivated. They will help you learn English in a positive and enjoyable way. The focus of your lessons will be to develop your communication skills.

Summer school

Course information:

  • 15 hours per week*
  • 9.00–10.30am and 11.00am–12.30pm
  • Monday – Friday
  • course book and workbook included
  • maximum 16 students per class
  • students from many different countries
  • minimum age 16 years

When you arrive at New College Nottingham you will receive a warm welcome, a language assessment and a full induction to the College and its facilities. We will use the language assessment to place you in the best class for you to improve your English.

Our IELTS Preparation courses are very popular with students who wish to do academic study at a college or university in the UK and need to take the IELTS test.

Special English courses

We can offer bespoke English Language courses for groups. These courses can be tailored in length and content to suit the particular needs of the group. Should you wish to discuss bringing a special group to study English with us at a particular time of the year, please contact us.

Social activities

New College Nottingham has a wide range of activities for students to enjoy. These will help you make friends, practise your English and visit interesting places. Some are open to all ncn students and some are designed especially for international students.

Enrichment

All full-time students in the college can take part in the Enrichment programme, which offers free activities and courses on a Wednesday afternoon. The activities range from sports, to arts and crafts, and even first aid.
