If you would like to study any course at New College Nottingham:
-
Complete our application form, providing all the requested information on the form, either online or using the downloadable form. If you apply online, we will contact you to arrange sending us any certificates.
-
Submit the form online or send the form to our office by mail, email or by fax. Sending incomplete details will delay your application.
-
Upon submission of your application, an International Officer will become your personal adviser, and correspond with you regarding your application.
-
If we have the right course for you, you will be given a Provisional Offer that is both suitable to your level of English and your current qualifications. If you have the IELTS or an equivalent English test result, this will help you get onto the course of your choice.
-
Once you accept the Provisional Offer, you will be asked to pay full fees or 50% of the first year fee as a deposit, and upon receipt of this payment, your advisor will issue you with a formal offer letter.
-
Both the Provisional Offer and Formal Offer Letters will state the terms and conditions regarding your deposit and course fees. Please read the terms and conditions carefully and be certain you are able to manage the financial and attendance commitments to your course.
-
If you want to study English and then progress onto a mainstream course, complete your application form, specifying ‘English’ and then the name of the course you want to study next.
Deposit Payment
Your deposit can be paid either by a cheque in pound sterling, a bank draft or directly into the College bank account. Our bank account details will be provided in the Provisional Offer letter, but it is vital that when marking any payment you always quote:
- Your Student ID number
- Your Full Name
Your Formal Offer letter
Once we have your deposit, we will send the Formal Offer letter and your pre-arrival information packet. The Formal Offer letter is one of the documents you will need to provide when applying for a student visa. The British Embassy will not accept a Provisional Offer Letter.
You can correspond at any time with your international adviser, but please always quote your student ID number, to help us provide you with the service you deserve.
Pre-arrival information packet
This will state the date on which your course starts. It is advisable that you arrive in Nottingham at least 24 hours prior to your start date. In your Pre-Arrival information packet you will also receive:
- Accommodation Request Form
- Airport Transfer Request Form
- Enrichment Request Form
