Drama and Theatre Studies

Drama and Theatre Studies is studied at the ncn Clarendon Academy of Performing Arts and Music.

What will I achieve from the course?

The ‘A’ Level course is one of a number of courses in Performing Arts delivered in specialist facilities at the ncn Clarendon Academy of Performing Arts and Music. As most theatre work is of a practical nature, the teaching of the Drama and Theatre Studies 'A' Level course relies heavily on active learning strategies and you will be expected to take responsibility for the process of your learning experience as well as the ownership of the product of your endeavours.

Teaching and learning

There are six sessions a week. Considerable extra-curricular activity is involved and you will have many opportunities to pursue your major theatrical interests. Hard work and enthusiasm are essential.

Trips are arranged to local professional theatres. You will be expected to see as many live theatre productions as possible, usually at a reduced rate.
