This course can also be studied as an intensive one-year programme for students aged 18+.
Entry Requirements
'AS':
- Grades A*-B in French are essential.
'A2':
- At least Grade E in 'AS' French.
An initial assessment of your language ability will also be required.
Course Content
2 units at 'AS' Level, including:
- Development of Language Skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing development
- Topic Study: media (television, advertising and communication) and popular culture (cinema, music, fashion, health, sport, holidays, family and personal relationships)
2 units at 'A2' Level, including:
- Further Development of Language Skills
- Topic Study: Environment and the multicultural society (immigration, integration and racism) and contemporary social issues (wealth, poverty, law and order, and the impact of scientific and technological progress)
Assessment
A combination of written and spoken tests.
