What kind of student is this course suitable for?

Economics is a popular 'A' Level course which explores the role of the economy in modern society. Most students have some knowledge of economics and have heard of topics such as unemployment, inflation and interest rates. The study of this course will give you an insight into the causes and effects of those issues.

The course has enjoyed considerable examination success over the past 20 years; we continuously maintain an excellent pass rate. Many of our students progress to a wide range of higher education courses. We employ a variety of teacher-led approaches to learning and encourage supported self-study. You can expect to spend time on a variety of assignments and case studies. You can also expect to be taught for six sessions per week. If you choose this subject it is not a continuation of a course you have already studied for 5 years but a chance to undertake a new and challenging subject.
