"Music has always been my life: I listen to music when I get up in the morning, on my way to college, all day at college in rehearsal, on my way home and at night at band practice.
"I love all music – from classical to folk, heavy metal to trip-hop and everything in between. I write my own songs and play guitar and piano as well as singing in five bands.
"When I left school, my confidence was at zero. Coming to ncn Clarendon was like a breath of fresh air – so many like-minded people! I’ve made tons of good friends – people I know I’ll stay in touch with. I’d never performed with other people before, and at first I was really nervous, but now I can’t wait to get up on the stage! I just want to learn as much as I can.
"I’d like to be a professional singer, but I think it’s important to get a qualification under my belt as a back up – it helps me to focus and it’s great for contacts."
