"Before I came to ncn, I had visions of large lecture theatres and not really knowing who the tutors were. This is certainly not the case here – the classes are small and the tutors are always there to offer advice and support.
"My course includes an industrial placement, where you get to mix practical skills with the knowledge that you constantly pick up. I like the relaxed and friendly college atmosphere, as well as the interaction with the other students on my course.
"I achieved distinction level grades for all of my first year modules, which I was extremely pleased with as I had not studied for many years before undertaking the Foundation Degree. This has improved my confidence and given me even more motivation for the rest of my studies.
"I looked at several places before deciding on where I wanted to study and know that I made the right decision. I think like most things in life you will only get out of it what you put in, if you are motivated and determined to succeed then ncn is more than equipped to assist you to get you where you want to be. As a mature student I have to balance my studies with work and family commitments and my tutor has been very flexible to allow me to work the course around this."
