“ncn Basford Hall was the ideal location for me as I both lived and worked in the area. The College had a good reputation and was recommended to me by colleagues who had also carried out their HNC there.
“I gained a good understanding of all aspects of the building services environment, including areas that to begin with I thought would be irrelevant. As the course progressed, and since undertaking a different role within the company I work for, I’ve realised that they are all important.
“I particularly enjoyed the areas that concentrated on mechanical engineering (eg. heating, air conditioning). I’m now working in a role which allows me to carry out mechanical engineering tasks.
“The main challenge of the HNC was trying to manage assignment deadlines around a working life. But the tutors are very understanding of the fact that most students are holding down a career whilst studying.”
