If you are thinking of studying a full-time Higher Education qualification at ncn then the New College Nottingham Special Support Bursary could be for you! The bursary scheme provides non-repayable financial support to students who meet certain criteria. At present there are two different bursary schemes in operation, one scheme for new students and a different scheme for second year students.
Bursary Scheme for New Students
The ncn Bursary scheme offers up to £750 per year, depending on household income, to new students starting in the academic year 2010/2011. To be eligible, students must be paying the full tuition fee of £2600, be in receipt of a maintenance grant or special support grant and have a household income of £40,000 or below.
Additional support will be available to students who have progressed from a designated School (see below). This extra bursary will provide up to £250 per year depending on your household income. Students in receipt of this extra bursary will be required to undertake a widening participation activity during their year of study. You can find out about these activities by contacting the higher education team. Bursary payments will be made in three equal installments on 9th December 2010, 3rd March 2011 and 2nd June 2011.
