What kind of course can I do?

ncn offers three main types of qualifications, details of which are below:

Type of a course Full-time/Part-time Length
HNC Full-time one year
Part-time two years
Foundation Degree Full-time two years
Part-time three years
BA (Hons) top up Full-time one year
Part-time two years

Part-time HND top-ups for students who have already completed HNC are available in some subjects and take 1-2 years.

Top-up degreees require students to have completed a HND or Foundation Degree previously.

To find out more about the courses available, please visit the Full-Time Courses and Part-Time Courses pages.

What can I do after I finish my course?

The completion of an HE course at ncn is the only beginning; with the skills that you will have developed you will be in a position to apply for the jobs that interest you. Increasingly employers are looking for people who are equipped with the kinds of skills gained through studying at a higher level.

Many employers also offer management training schemes for people with higher-level qualifications, enabling you to move up the career ladder quicker than others.

Alternatively, if you have completed a Foundation Degree or HND you may wish to continue your studies with an extra 1 year top up course that can convert your qualification into a full Bachelors Degree.
