Students aged 16–18 are not normally charged fees, but may have to pay if they fail to sit an examination, want to re-sit an examination, or a material fee is payable (applies to selected courses only).
You may have to pay for some equipment and materials, depending on your chosen course. For example, some courses require a uniform, specialist clothing or equipment. Fee remission does not apply to these items and you may be required to obtain these items for the start of your course. However, you may be eligible for Learner Support Funding to contribute towards the cost of materials or equipment, please note that this will be paid as a reimbursement.
