Every Wednesday at ncn, students have the chance to take part in a wide variety of free activities - the Enrichment Courses.
These courses are run as workshops, with no formal assessments, and College certificates are given at the end of each course.
Through Enrichment, students can:
- Meet new people and make new friends
- Develop their confidence
- Visit new places
- Get some great stuff to put on your CV
- Have fun!
There are over 20 different courses available, including DJ Skills, First Aid, Pottery, Jewellery Making, volunteering, Spanish and more - with new courses added regularly.
Hopper service is available for transport between College centres, and all courses are free!
Sport at ncn
Enrichment is also the home of sport at ncn, with College teams for badminton, basketball and football, as well as ice skating, rock climbing, street dance and other sporting activities available throughout the year.
All College teams play in the British Colleges' Sport Leagues, and our mens' football team were the British College Sports East Midlands South Champions for the 2008/09 season.
How to Enrol on an Enrichment Course
Choose your Enrichment option(s) from the Enrichment booklet. You can take as many courses as you want, as long as they are not in conflict with each other.
You enrol at the same time as you enrol on your main study programme, or, if you need to enrol at a later date, you can enrol at the Enrichment help desks or any campus reception.
A few days before the course is due to start, you will receive a letter at your home address confirming your place on the course, including details of the course rooms.
Some courses will require suitable clothing - you will be told what to wear when you enrol.
