Geoff Russell, Chief Executive of the new Skills Funding Agency, toured the College’s real work environments and met students during a visit in April. The Agency has been set up by the Government to fund and regulate adult skills training in England.
As part of his visit Mr Russell presented Geoff Hall, ncn Principal and Chief Executive, with a special plaque which marks the College’s newly accredited Training Quality Standard (TQS) status. This national award recognises ncn’s commitment to delivering high quality, high impact training and workforce development solutions for employers.
Mr Russell was accompanied by Mike Bell – Portfolio Director, Skills Funding Agency, Provider Services, Central Division and Claire Craig – Director of Skills, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).
He commented: “I am delighted to present this award. Achieving TQS presents a significant step forward for an already high-performing college such as New College Nottingham.”
