News - Top marks for 'A' Level English student

ncn High Pavement Sixth Form student Gracie Lewin has won the WJEC English Language and Literature award*, after gaining the highest 'A' Level mark in the country from candidates who sat WJEC's examinations in 2009.

Established in 1948, WJEC is one of the UK's leading examining bodies. Gareth Pierce, WJEC Chief Executive sent Gracie a personal letter congratulating her on her outstanding achievement and the hard work that she and her teachers had put into preparing for the examinations. Gracie also received a certificate and £50 cash prize.

Gracie commented: "I really enjoyed my course. Although there were some parts that were very challenging it helped that my teachers were all so enthusiastic and supportive."
