Meg Hale receives her award from Matthew Loveridge

An awards evening sponsored by the Institute of Hospitality (IOH) and organised by ncn students was held on 24 March at the Adams Restaurant & Brasserie in the Lace Market.

The annual ncn School of Food, Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism, Aviation, Sports and Public Services awards recognises the outstanding academic and personal achievements of students.

Among the award winners was Meg Hale, owner of Aubrey’s Traditional Creperie in the West End Arcade in Nottingham city centre. Meg studied Service Sector Management at the College last year and has since gone on to launch the successful French-themed business.

She was presented with the Industry Award for the BA (Hons) Service Sector Management student of the year by sponsor Matthew Loveridge of Hobart UK catering equipment suppliers.

Meg said: “It was pleasure to receive the award and I am delighted that what I’ve managed to achieve has been recognised. It is lovely to receive continuing support from the College.”

A total of twenty awards were presented with the majority sponsored by key industry partners including the IOH East Midlands, Experience Nottinghamshire, Nottinghamshire Hoteliers Association, Woodborough Hall and other local business partners.
