'Inspiration, Innovation and Opportunity’ was the theme of the fourth annual Construction Conference, hosted by ncn and the Nottinghamshire Construction Forum (NCF) at ncn Basford Hall in October.
The event was aimed at industry employers, university academics, industry suppliers and manufacturers, support and funding agencies, and professional bodies.
Presentations were delivered by industry experts including Charles Meynell, Sustainable Construction iNet; Jo Brown, Sasie Ltd; Gary Smerdon-White, Nottingham Contemporary; and Alan Clucas, Laing O’Rourke.
Mervyn Brown, NCF Chairman, commented: “Our Construction Conference again demonstrated how we are able to make a significant contribution to the potential regional wealth of our industry and to thereby benefit the wider community. This year’s event was the best yet – with contributions worthy of a national event - attendances and event management to match.”
Jason Scriven from Rose UK Services had a display stand at the conference. He commented: “Rose UK Services has provided security services to the construction industry for a number of years. The Construction Conference was an ideal opportunity for us to showcase our business to a number of other potential clients. We look forward to exhibiting again next year.”
