The Students’ Union (SU) helped to support a special ‘Love the Lace Market’ event on 3 March in conjunction with Nottingham City Council’s ‘Week of Action’.

Working with the council, local police and the community, the SU helped to run a special day of fun activities to celebrate the fantastic Lace Market facilities and its community.

Entertainment included fire spinners, jugglers and live music and ncn students painted a giant mural of the history of the Lace Market on advertising boards surrounding the square throughout the week.

The Nottingham City Council hopes that setting up local events and projects through the 'Week of Action' project will increase the level of community understanding and cohesion for the people living, working and studying in the city.
