Catering staff and students showcased their skills at the City and Guilds 'Market Place Event' at Battersea Power Station in London, after being invited to carry out demonstrations for all City & Guilds employees.

The purpose of the event was to raise awareness group-wide on the variety of qualification areas City & Guilds provide as an awarding organisation. ncn was chosen to take part after successfully delivering the new City & Guilds Level 2 Professional Chef Diploma qualification.

The staff and students put on a range of demonstrations including Indian cookery, and an omelette challenge which got the spectators involved.

June Lang, City & Guilds Operational Quality Consultant, said: “We aimed to show our employees across the whole organisation the skills involved in gaining the qualifications, and to showcase some of our customers and learners’ expertise.”
