More than 50 students celebrated their volunteering achievements at a special awards night at ncn Basford Hall.
Seven overall winners received special glass awards to mark their commitment and dedication to one of three volunteering projects; Volshop, Initia8 or Vtalent Year.
The ‘Legend’ award for leadership and outstanding contribution went to 18-year-old Lauren Smith, who has dedicated over 300 hours of volunteering over the past two years. As well as organising two successful charity events for Children in Need and the NSPCC, Lauren also volunteers once a week at LIFE – an organisation which provides activities for people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
ncn Initi8 Volunteering Co-ordinator, Carleen Bentley, commented: “Our annual awards evening is a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate with friends and family the hard work and dedication of the students.”
