The College has been awarded the title of Hospitality Apprentice Provider of the Year at the Hospitality Apprenticeship Awards 2010, run by the Hospitality Skills Alliance with leading awarding body EDI and partners.
The organisers presented the award to ncn for its innovative apprenticeship programmes with impressive results. The entry was also endorsed by a comprehensive range of supportive references from employees, apprentices and employers.
John Molnar, Managing Director of Mole Face Pub Company said: “ncn support us as an employer by helping us to find new apprentices and can also be relied upon to develop our existing staff.”
“We felt the College was deserving of the award as the staff are really flexible and go the extra mile to deliver training across all of our sites, so we were happy to support their application,” he added.
Bob Cotton, Chief Executive of the British Hospitality Association, said: “The Hospitality industry provides enormous opportunities for those with practical ability. Many of those at the top of our industry started out as an apprentice.
“The British Hospitality Association is a great believer in the value of an Apprenticeship and is committed to grow their take up. With additional backing and support from the new coalition Government now is an ideal time for employers to take on an Apprentice.”
