Fashion students presented an exciting range of collections at the end of year Fashion Shows from 30 June to 2 July.

Among the university-level students featured at the Higher Education Fashion Show were Markus Wernitznig and Savannah Bailey – both gold award winners in the national WorldSkills UK  Made to Measure fashion design competition 2010.

Savannah’s final collection, Structural Conflict, was influenced by military colours and metal armour, complemented by strong, modern architecture.

Markus’ HUMAN:SURFACE took inspiration from elements of the human body, including skin, and created an androgynous collection that could be worn by men or women.

The Further Education shows featured an array of colourful creations, influenced by everything from natural spaces to Italian art and culture, film noir to carnival, and architecture to pop art.

Michelle Riggs’ collection, Donne Independenti, displayed a feminine style with a hint of masculine features, designed to show off both sides of a girl’s personality. Michelle plans to progress to a Foundation Degree Fashion Interpretation and Practice at ncn in September.
