Students collected their GCSE results at the Trent FM Arena on 27th August.
Yvonne Richards, ncn Head of School – Entry and Foundation Pathways, said: “We are delighted with the achievements of our GCSE students’. Many returned to learning at ncn with few or no qualifications for a variety of reasons, yet with hard work, determination and tutor support have succeeded. They are on a learning journey, and this is their passport to enable them to enter new territory. We wish them every success in the future.”
Among the successful students is 24-year-old, Samantha Gore, who achieved the results she needs to progress to a Diploma in Nursing course at The University of Nottingham. Samantha, who has two young daughters, achieved an A, B and three C’s.
Samantha said: “It was quite difficult at times studying with two small children but I have got a really great family and the teachers at ncn were very supportive. I’m so pleased with my results and I’m now really looking forward to starting my Nursing Diploma in January.”
Twenty-year-old Scott Logue achieved the grades he needs to enrol on an IT course at ncn. He aims to progress to study IT Networking at university in the future.
