The Freshers' Fair in full swing

ncn held its new look Freshers’ Fair Freshtival at Clarendon Campus between 15th and 17th September to welcome new students to the College.

This year the fair had a three-day music festival theme with live bands, DJ’s and MC’s, fairground rides, a giant climbing wall, food and a variety of stallholders giving away freebies, information and offers.

Live bands included: 25 Past the Skank, Shadowboxer and Papa La Bas. There was also a variety of special offers from local businesses including: Fit Space gym, 28 Girls and Boys Barbers, Mint Driving School, Shake Out milkshake & smoothie bar, Kathleen and Lily’s boutique, Broadway Cinema, and many more.

Freshers’ Fair provides the ideal opportunity for students to meet their fellow students and the chance to ask questions and find out information about ncn in a fun and informal environment.

Student Union Liaison Officer, Stuart Stapleton, commented: “We worked very hard on developing a new concept this year and it was certainly worth it. There was a brilliant turnout and a really good atmosphere. It can be a daunting experience starting college so this is a great way to welcome students. It’s also an excellent illustration of how College life can be enjoyed outside of the classroom.”
