Valbona Zogaj receives the Keith Dudley Award
from Adrian Pratt,
ncn Director of Lifestyle
Hard-working Childcare, Social and Health Services students were recognised at the annual school awards evening at ncn Basford Hall on Wednesday 9th December. Mum of two, Valbona Zogaj from Radford, scooped two awards on the night - the Keith Dudley Award for overall achievement and an award for progression.
After achieving Level 1 and 2 qualifications at the College, Valbona is now studying an NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care. In 2009 she began working at a Nursery School in Nottingham following a work placement there organised through her course.
Valbona said: “I was very surprised and excited to find out I had won two awards. The staff at the College are great and very helpful and I am really enjoying my course.”
Heather Ridgway, ncn Head of School for Childcare, Social and Health Service, commented: “Valbona is a great example of how students can progress through the College. She began by studying English for Speakers of Other Languages and has worked hard over the past few years to achieve her goal of securing employment in Childcare.
“All of the nominees were highly deserving of their awards and we are extremely proud of them.”
Twenty four awards were presented to students for progression, achievement, and for their commitment during industry placements.
