Hospitality and Catering students at New College Nottingham helped to raise £1200 for a local Leukaemia charity by assisting the Mayor of Gedling, Councillor Suzanne Prew-Smith, at her festive Christmas cookery demonstration on 3 November at Goosedale conference centre.

Student chefs from the College helped prepare a three course meal, while ncn Hospitality students served welcome drinks and attended to guests as they enjoyed parsnip soup, pan-fried duck with a cranberry compote, and white chocolate tart.

The event was held by the Mayor to raise money for her charity, Nottinghamshire Leukaemia - Supporting Myeloma.
