The achievements of students on ncn’s Personal and Community Development Learning (PCDL) courses were celebrated at a special awards event held at Nottingham’s Council House on 26th February.
Nottingham Forest Community Director, Graham Moran, presented certificates to the students for their chosen courses - ranging from Jewellery Making, Customer Service, and Computers to Sewing.
ncn has worked in partnership with Castle College and South Nottingham College to provide these courses to meet the needs and abilities of adults in the community; those who wish to learn a new skill or improve their confidence without the pressure of exams or assessments.
Maria Semak commented: “PCDL is an excellent platform for people who are returning to learning or wishing to develop their confidence and skills. The event demonstrated the contribution PCDL makes to widening participation in learning.”
