A former ncn Fashion Retail student has launched Dee’s Boutique ‘IDENTITY’, a brand new online fashion business based in Nottingham, which sells unique women’s clothing sourced from designers in Japan and America. The website can be found at www.deesboutique.co.uk.

Danielle Wilson, 24 from Radford came up with the idea of ‘IDENTITY’ during her Fashion Retail Diploma final project. She commented: “I started the course as a shy girl with low self confidence but with the support of my tutor I knew I could take my dreams to the next level. I approached the Prince’s Trust with my idea and within two months I was awarded full funding and support to begin my online business.”

ncn was the first college outside London to offer the new Fashion Retail Diploma. Featuring a vocational emphasis which prepares learners for the work place, the Diploma offers modules in fashion styling, branding, visual merchandising, management skills, buying, Photoshop and store operations.

ncn Retail tutor, Michelle Foster, commented: “It was a pleasure to teach Danielle because she always showed such enthusiasm and ambition. I am thrilled to hear about her new business venture. It demonstrates that with drive and determination it is possible to achieve great things and I wish her all the success for the future.”
