A team effort: the students working together
New College Nottingham (ncn) Floristry students were asked to recreate an award-winning floristry display for the East Midlands ‘National Training Awards’ ceremony.
The Level 3 Diploma in Floristry students produced table centrepieces for the design brief of an international WorldSkills medal winner.
Tracey White, ncn Floristry lecturer, said: “This was a perfect opportunity for our students to work as a team from a real business brief. It is always difficult to work to someone else’s design, especially when it’s a medal-winning display, but our learners rose to the challenge and did a great job.”
The National Training Awards East Midlands ceremony was held on 20 October at the East Midlands Conference Centre, to celebrate examples of outstanding business and personal success that have been achieved through training.
