Floristry students displayed autumnal-themed floral designs at Newstead Abbey for its ‘Seasonal Celebration’ on 25 - 28 September.

The Level 3 Diploma in Floristry students each created individual designs to decorate the entrance, cloisters and the Eagle Pond at the Abbey using fresh foliages and natural materials from the gardens and grounds of Newstead.

Tutor, Catherine Hampson, commented: “It was a great opportunity for the students to decorate a historical venue and to showcase their floristry talents. This experience and the designs they created will help them to achieve their final qualification.”

Floristry students will also decorate Wollaton Hall for its Christmas events during November.
